The Year Of Ice

Well I went to the doctor today and I had to get a couple shots to boost my immune system it was low and if it don't pick up to about 4000 in a few days they want to stick me in the hospital. I am so tired of dealing with this sad part is I have to deal with it until I die. Being born a primary and not suppose to make it sure has been hell all my life. Enough of that cause it only makes me depressed and right now I don't need that it will only make things worse. I was laying in my bed this morning and looking over at my bookshelf and all the books I have and I was thinking how much I love to read and I'm and sure most of you like to read also I think we've talked about it before so I was thinking maybe ya'll have books sitting around that you have read and loved but now there just sitting around. So I came up with this idea about passing them along. How it would work is we make a list of books we have and post them and then we pick a couple and we mail them to each other what do you think of that idea? I looked online cause I thought about selling them but there not selling and if you put them in a yard sale they don't move either it's a shame really cause I have spent some good money on some of my books. But if we help each other by passing them on I think it would be great and it really won't cost much just postage. Most of my books are gay theme just so ya'll know just let me know what you think about the idea! Now I need to take some meds and gonna hit the bed soon!

I'm gonna give this book away to the first person that can answer these 2 questions.
1. What is my favorite Movie
2. Who is my favorite Singer

Later from Florida!

Hey Sexy, all of my love. Keep your chin up. There is something in each of us that we have to deal with for the rest of our lives. You're never alone. Don't forget that.

    Steel Magnolia's...?

I really don't know. I'd just be guessing.

But that book looks so good.

Hope you feel better, kid. Hate to hear you're not feeling well.

Speaking of books makes me realize how many books I have stacked up in my apt. waiting to be read. I need to start reading more (like I used to) and spend less time online (where I also read a lot). Your idea of passing books along is a good one, and I'd go along with it. Many of my books are science or political in nature, so don't know if there would be much interest in them.
Have you heard of the website called "bookcrossing.com", where people list their books and share them with others who want them? I have an account there, but haven't updated it for a long time.

I should know the answers to those 2 questions, as I know you've talked about them both here, but can't think of the right answers at the moment.
Take care, Ryan...hope you feel better.

  4. Chuck Says:

    Steel Magnolias, Alan Jackson

Just a guess. Well, I think I know the first. The second is just... Awe, come on, he's pretty awesome, you know? :)

  5. im not sure about your fav movie and your fav singer. But the book swapping idea is a great idea. But instead of just swapping we can read the book then slip a note in it about how we liked it or not. Then once that book goes back to the owner they can post the comments online. That would be soo AWESOME! Great idea ryan, im therouly impressed. Get better my friend.

    Your lil guardian "Angel"

  7. Ryan Says:

    so far no right guess!

come on people ive talked about them many many times in the past!

  8. "SUNSET BLVD"....A Guess, only...And I have no idea about The Singer...or Song...or, in fact, The Film...lol.

Sorry you are struggling with Health Issues...I know how depressing that can be...Take Good Care! Do they give you B-12 Shots?
That might be of some help, my dear.

I love the idea about the books, but I will be honest with you, I have a very very hard time giving up my books...I go back and read a lot of them many times....BUT, if there is something I feel I can part with, I will let you know.
That book I told you about, "The Fixers"? Well, I started to re-read it, once again...Maybe when I am done with it, I can send it on to you....Again, I'm not sure how accurate it is, but even if HALF of it is accurate, it is quite interesting.

  18. Anonymous Says:

  23. Devil's Advocate Says:

An online book exchange is a great idea. Lot's of money to be saved not buying books in exchange for a small amount of postage mailing books to other members. Book postal rate is really inexpensive.
