It's not Hate

I want to talk about something I don't think I've covered before but before I do this is where I warn all you people that can't deal with my spelling or grammar better leave now cause I'm sure I will say or spell something that will just drive you right a wall. So your warned for the rest of you that don't care about small shit like that read on! Ok I want to talk about the gay community and the hate. See I come to find in the gay community it seems if someone don't like something or someone they want to label it as hate. When it has nothing to do with hate at all its just maybe you don't like that person. It pisses me off when the word hate is so easily used and over used in the gay community. There comes a time in your life when your gonna meet someone that you don't like. The person may have never done a thing to you but something inside of your don't like the person. I know personally there are a few on my list that hasn't done anything to me but I can't stand them. It's not hate I don't hate them I just don't like them and there is a difference. I think gay people like using the word hate and I don't know why. There are a lot of people out there do hate us for being gay but for us gays to use it on each other I think is bullshit. People are people and there are going to be people we just don't like don't matter if there gay or str8 and even transgender but it's not hate its just we don't like there ass. So stop throwing around the word hate cause it's a bad word that shouldn't be used unless it's true!Later!

I think people who are working hard to deny equal rights to gays and lesbians are in fact people I hate. Anyone who does everything they can to deny rights and freedom to a group of people are people who indeed deserve to be labeled as hatemongers. Those who bully gay kids or any kids are people I hate. So there are a lot of reasons to use the word and I tend to disagree (sorry Ryan, I usually agree with you) on this one.

We should not use it too much, but these days the word must be used to expose those who do indeed hate us and want to destroy us.

no eric your right on what you said and its what i agree with yoo 100% im saying gay on gay using the word hate is bullshit.

I think what you're saying is that it's become way too politically correct to use the word "hate" or "hater," with regard to anyone who is gay or part of any minority.

Frankly, I don't like Perez Hilton. I don't hate him, but I don't like him and I don't like the way he represents the gay community.

I agree. If you don't like someone you just don't like them. And it shouldn't be called "hate."

thanks ryan thats what i was trying to say!

I agree with Ryan Field. I don't like Perez Hilton , or Rosie O'Donnell for that matter, I see them more as trouble and somewhat like bullies in our community! But even so, I do not hate them.

People or organizations-(mainly the GOP in many cases) that purposefully are trying to hinder the rights of ALL people, they are people I could really despise in every sense of the word, but I still will NOT hate them...Hopefully someday they will be on the side of being restrained ( in the Elections of 2012) I hope like they have done to the LGBT community. (Sorry Ryan for the political issue, but they are a prime example of this horrific subject... .............Jon Winship

Ryan I agree. We need to stop killing ourselves with hate. There is a big difference between what I was referring to and people who I disagree with on issues or who may just not want to associate with me because we don't get along. I always thought that I could sit down with many on the other side and talk about issues and be civil. Now I no longer feel that way as the other side has changed..much for the worse. Hugz babe!

As a nation we have developed a 'if you're not for me, you're against me' mindset. And so the wounded ego festers. We really need to meet in the middle, compromise more often.

I dont hate people, jus broccoli.

I think hate is used mostly to describe people like Fred Phelps with his God Hates Fags campaigns, and people like that. They truly hate us. They are convinced that there is something wrong with us (not realizing they are condemning their own God who created us in saying such things). On a smaller scale, I try very hard to avoid the use of the word hate. I don't hate anyone for any reason. I dislike some people. But I'll save hate for something that apparently hasn't happened yet.

    Excellent post, Ryan! Thanks.

Jimm...Nope sorry...there is no more "compromise" on the table with the Tea Baggers in charge of the House and making even weak-kneed Dems shiver in fear. We have compromised way too much and the other side only attacks and stands further and further to the right. The only thing the right wants is for the poor to die, the middle class to disappear, gays and minorities to hide and cower in fear, and to make the super rich even richer!

Eric is 100% right on !! The Teabaggers and theGOP should be known as the " I'm entitled to discriminate" groups! Shame on them for voicing their morals and religious bigotry on the GLBT community, as well as all minorities.. The parties of NO need to go!! We as taxpayers have rights as too !!!
Look how demonizing they are right now, holding the country hostage over the budget, mess that they creadted under BUSH, just for political posterity! They want our President to fail, which can translate to wanting the country to fail as well to make their weak views have meaning...In my book that's TREASON!!........Jon Winship

Hate, what a powerful and much misused word. Stop and think what that word actually means. It is as powerful as the word love if you mean it. I have made a choice in my life to stop using the word. I don't like it and I don't like what it stands for. I don't hate anyone for any reason I dislike what they may do and what they stand for but never hate. Hate is not of God no matter how you may see it and it is true that only love can conquer hate.

    Peace to you all
