Sorry for not updating sooner but like most of you know family first. Ty is doing much better he is out of the ICU unit now on ITU unit. Yesterday they took the tube out of his pecker and he couldn't be any happier about that. Bad for us cause we have to help him now haha. Just kidding I don't mind at all and I know Dad, Corey or Mikey don't mind either that's what families do I just have to bust his chops for it is all. The long road is starting and therapy will start soon. It will be slow coming though with broke bones healing and all but Ty will be as good as new. Today we watched motocross on TV. I never really watched it much on TV but I have to say it was pretty cool finally got to see Ty show some excitement. One of the riders he likes won so all was good and hey the guy has a cool name Ryan so yeah good rider to pick.
Ty still has some IV's in him for infection and also for pain I think they said. It's so hard for him just to lay there and he get's so mad sometimes. I understand though I do just having an itch and can't get to it having to ask somebody to scratch it for you. He understand we don't mind that's what were here for it's just the feeling. I been reading all the emails and comments everyone has sent and he is thankful for ya'll I am too. When they move him to a private room there will be Internet there so I can take a laptop with me so he can see everything in person and not just printed out. Not sure how well he will be able to use the laptop but I'm sure he will figure out some way to use it. Guess that's it for now I'm tired gonna watch some football and eat something. Dad got the grill on and something smells good.

I am thrilled to hear this update. I know all to well about cath's ... they suck. Ryan man I missed you and the way you wrote this one. I can tell a hugh weight lifted off you . That means the world to me. Glad you able to get some down time now. All I got to say is give Ty a little hell for all of us. We will been thinking of everyone... Hope he speeds though the rest of recovery!

Thanks for the update on Ty. I'm so happy to hear that he is doing better and we all are praying that his recovery continues to go well.
Remind him that he had to learn to walk before he could run, so he needs to be patient with his body during the recovery and therapy, no matter how frustrating it is...

Bf and I are loners through and through. The fact that we found one another is sill startling, but we do live in separate countries, so that, urm... helps. Both with JP's accident and my surgery, we had to reach out and ask for help. Not easy, but always enlightening, so if Ty needs his butt scratched, he can ask.
You, Ryan, are a fantastic brother and you're doing a remarkable job! Your actions through this have given me a lot to think about.
Otherwise, excellent news and certainly appreciate you taking the time to share these moments with us.

This is a great post, very encouraging. I know he is lucky to have you all as his family, and the difference you've made on his recovery is immense. You have given him strength, courage and hope.
When you are able to let Ty look through all the comments, I am sure he will find even more strength, courage and support to face his continued rehabilitation.
One piece of advice - please make sure you and your family are taking care of yourselves. This experience, the stress can have a delayed affect on each of you. So, if you find a need to get away for an hour or a day or whatever, don't feel guilty. Take a walk, go to a movie, read a book, or just take a nap. Ty will appreciate that you are caring for yourself, and he won't feel guilty either.
