Act of Kindness

I had a saying the other day on my faceebook about an act of kindness. "it's amazing what an act of kindness can do for someone" I totally believe in that I try to do what I can but sometimes when you least except that act to happen it does. Going in and out of the hospital visiting my Gramps you get use to there day to day habits. I know at 9:45 the flower delivery lady will be coming down the hall passing out flowers that people sent there love ones. I hear her coming cause the cart makes this noise and after being here everyday you learn things. This pass week a lady across the hall from my Gramps stands in the door everyday and ask the flower lady if any flowers for her? Everyday the flower lady says no sorry.

It didn't hit before until I seen her face I mean I really looked at her face and the sadness in her eyes damn near mad me cry. I went down to the nurses station to ask about her of course they couldn't give me much info cause of the laws. I waited until this male nurse came in I knew I could get some info out of him . So when he came in I turn on my charm and flirted a little with him and I found out she lives in a care home he wouldn't tell me why she was there but said as far as he knew she didn't have any family. Man that hit me like a ton of bricks. When me and Dad went to lunch I told him about it and told him on the way back up I wanted to stop at the gift shop and buy some flowers for her and have them delivered to her tomorrow.

So we stop at the gift shop and I bought her some flowers and to my surprise my Dad and Uncle did also. I sign the card to a special lady that's more beautiful than flowers. I'm not sure what my Dad or Uncle wrote on there cards. The next day 9:45 here came the flower lady and the lady across the hall was standing in the door and she ask the flower lady any flowers for me today? The flower lady said why yes there flowers for you today the lady ask what one is for me and the flower lady said these 3 the old lady said I got 3 flowers? The look on her face made me cry omg it was so amazing. I know it's not always the easiest thing to do but an act of kindness no matter what it is can make someone feel so good so never pass up the chance when you can do this.

I want to take a sec and say thanks for all the years that you been reading my blog and for the comments and emails and the friendships I made from this blog trust me when I needed it the most you were there!

Thank You!

That was a wonderful act of kindness you did by sending the flowers to the lady across the hall. Your Dad and Uncle recognized your compassion and did the same, hurray to them also. You make me think there is still hope for the human race after all.

Ryan, you know there are things I disagree with you about, and you know that I think you need to learn to control your anger, but it is things like the flowers for the lady across the hall that tell me that your heart is full of love. And that is why I love you.
