I am a diabetic have been all my life from birth until now it's something I deal with everyday. I've learn over the years how to deal with and what I can eat and what not to eat. Of course being a kid having to control something like food is not an easy job. When you see your friends eating candy or ice cream and you want some but you have to check your sugar first and then if your lucky you get to have a little.
Of course I've not always been good about my health seems like I'm in the hospital more than not. Either with some kind of cold due to my immune system or its cause of diabetic issues. I have to say since Kadin things have been better cause he watches me better than I do and I'm thankful that I have him. People with out this issue think they know what a person goes through but really I don't think they do Diabetes sucks but Juvenile Diabetes sucks even more!
July 14th someone I knew passed away from diabetic complications Aj Millan (Armando HERNANDEZ Jr.) I only met Aj a few times but that's all it took. He was a bright star and love people and anybody he met was a friend. He had so much passion for everything he did and just loved life and lived it to it's fullest. Aj touched many hearts and people could learn form him. I been told God takes the best first he must have seen you on that stage and wanted you to perform for him. Aj when I hear thunder now I will think of you dancing and singing across the skies!

I am sorry to hear of your friends passing. I am not a good one to ask on the subject of taking care of myself as I have spent a night or two in the hospital thanks to my own warped thinking I was ok.
I am glad Kadin is there to keep and eye on you as I think we all need someone to kick us in the ass at times when we neglect our health.

I am very sorry for the loss of your friend. My condolences to you and his family.
I can imagine that it can be incredibly difficult to adjust to a specialist diet. I often worry that I may be diabetic as I sometimes get sugar lows and I feel like I am about to pass out unless I get some sugar into me.

How sad to lose such a bright star. I had a friend years ago who dealt with juvenile diabetes, and back then it was a crap shoot.

Poor A.J., life seems so unfair sometimes. I wonder exactly how this happened (?). Isn't Diabetes supposed to be well controlled? Or is it that even under the most ideal conditions, "something" drastic can happen, and become fatal? I just don't know.

I don't "do well" when someone young passes on, way before their time. I'm at a loss for words when that happens. It's always sad when you know someone younger who has died. Sadder still to watch someone die - needlessly....
